Metrovickers CoBo

Post by snmunro »

Does anyone know what became of the Steve Waterman BoCo that was discussed last year? Was a new version ever released or the old one made available again?

It kind of just dissapeared :(. Which is sad, as its a sorely missed loco, wonder if we can convince him to re-upload :)

I have it all right, in fact it gets an outing quite regularly...

...and I'd be happy to upload it, if I had Steve's permission (which is going to be difficult as his website doesn't include a contact e-mail address). :(

I've found Steve Waterman's e-mail address in the file read me (d'oh!) so I've mailed him to ask permission to upload.

Update ten minutes later: oh no I haven't - the mail bounced, the address wasn't recognised. D'oh!

I have his current email address at work - we exchange pleasantries from time to time away from UKTS - probably won't be able to get it until Monday 5th - is that OK?

Steve

It's fine by me, as I already have the model! But if you can send me his addy next week I'll ask him if I can upload the model.

Cheers and thanks

Paul

PS how is Victoria/Exchange coming on? It was looking very juicy when you put up some screenshots a while ago.

Now it's just plain bizarre the way the 'curse' of great minds thinking alike strikes the MSTS loco'-building world: having just finished the first of my class 21 / 29s, I was just thinking of the Co-Bo as being a project I might take on if it's no longer live. But if someone else is going to upload the existing one, perhaps I'll find an alternative class of unsuccessful BR loco' for my next project...

In any event, D6151 will be uploaded and failing on a railway near you as soon as I receive one more permission email for some sounds I've borrowed.
