Original Panel - im guessing you mean the cab area? Yes this will include a custom 3d rendered cab view and panel
The Physics are based on the already available 465 networker models. Though with some small adjustments as this is a DMU as to the 465 being an EMU.
We're currently looking into custom sounds, recorded from a real 165/166 but its not something that we feel will hold up the release if we have trouble implementing this. Default or already available DMU sounds will be used in a situation like that.

Just looking at the 25/08/03 pic again, It looks to me as though there's a fairly major flaw with the livery.
I've just checked a photo looking at leading, trailing and middle power cars - the swoshes always go left to right (Starting at the bottom left finishing top right) - On the MSTS model it appears that the swoshes are the wrong way round on one side of the model.
The side visible on the leading car is incorrect whereas the side visible on the trailing car is correct.
I will try and find some clearer pics.
Found a comparable pic here http://www.cix.co.uk/~rosenstiel/trains/r0300376.jpg

This is a well researched thing. I had hoped people would realise why this was so.
It is due to the fact on pretty much every available Multi unit, the rear car is a reversal of the front one. This is a big saver on texture space, s and sd files and so on. This is helped by the fact that almost all liveries work ok when reversed, making this type of situation seemless.
However the Thames Trains livery is one such type that instantly shows this problem up. Currently modelled are all 3 cars of a standard 166 train. Lead - Middle - Rear. The solution is very simple, and will be present and correct in the final release version. Hopefully pretty soon. Although as u can see at the moment, not applied. The swishes will all go in the correct direction when finished. This was noted very early on during production.

Its been very quiet recently, but u didnt have to worry. All is good, and as you can see from the latest shot, u can expect to be running it very soon!
Version 1 is almost ready now, things are looking very good if i may say so myself
Once im happy with absolutely everything (only a few minor tiny things i need to do now), I will get this baby over to Dave for release.

Not so. What u are refering to are the two company brands on the sides of the trains " Thames Trains" [165's] and "Thames Trains Express" [166's]. The name of the Class is 'Thames Turbo'.n863dwt wrote:just looked at the screeshot on the ukts homepage...and just a minor error i am sure but the class 166 is not a Thames Turbo...

This is one of the last things im still working on. Getting various destination boards. As for the oval and swish liverys working different routes. I cant be sure of this. I think the difference is that refurbished 165's have the oval shape, while the 166's have the swish.davidcoates8 wrote:just wondering will the train have a destination board for Great Malvern or Worcseter Forgate Street.
Also thought that oval green was for the ones that work around Reading, Basingstoke etc. The swish is for the others that for instance work to Great Malvern and Worcester Forgate Street/Shrub Hill.
I certainly wont be changing the livery based on the destination board. As stated before, Im hopefully going to supply a few destination files so its upto the user what location is displayed.
