I'd highly recommend orbiter. Sounds silly but I reckon it has better graphics than some of Microsofts products..

Wait a minute, thats not silly! :D

Oh, why did you have to mention that, by coincidence I found some old plans of some Blue Funnel 'liners' last night. Who knows what the grey dawn might resolve. :wink:

SD14 combined cargo+containers, preview pic

Post by CaptainBazza »

<IMG width="1014" height="222" SRC="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... ide-v1.jpg">

In the early days of containerisation, there were few purpose built 'box'boats, and some standard cargo types were converted to combined cargo and container carriers. The above model reflects that type.

To be released later in the week, be warned - another high poly model :angel:

Special thanks to JonC, who supplied a collection of container pics, which I duly mangled to produce skins for six different 20 ft types.

If you're interested in watercraft, check out the Ohio Rail route (available from Avsim). It has tugs, barges and a few other things that are actually built as .eng and .wag files that run on submerged tracks. They're used in a few of the included activities so you can see them "sailing" down the river. Amazing!

Ohio boats are OK for shunting but they get stuck in the tunnels.
