Class 158 problem

Post by thecaretaker »

Out of all the trains I've downloaded (447 and counting...), I only seem to get a problem with Steven Weller Class 158's. All my other trains can run for hours with no problems.

The 158's run for about 20-30 minutes and MSTS closes down and dumps me to the desktop. Now at first, I thought this may have been due to my set up (AOpen motherboard, Intel 500mhz, GF3 & SB Live value). But I upgraded my system (about a year ago now) with MSI K7T266 Pro2, Athlon XP2000, Radeon 9700 pro, SB Audigy 2 and it still happens with this model on my newer system.

Anyone else find problems with this model? It happens with all liveries. I can only conclude that there must be something not quite right with the models makeup. I've tried using the lighter textures but it does the same.

Anyone have any ideas what could cause this to happen with a model?

It's a shame cos it's a darn good model. :o

That did happen to me once about 2-3 months ago but i lowered the sound setting in the options menu and turned the train detail up and it worked for me but each pc is different so the best to do is experiment with the settings that should do the trick.
