Start Too Many Things and Finish Too Few?

As I prepare for a couple of months without my desktop computer I have been looking through my Works in Progress.
A quick browse of the forums will show that I am not the only one here who starts many things at once.
So is there something about this in the way our minds are organised?
(I suffer the same with OO models as I do with MSTS!)
So just a quick run through of things that are not being finished just yet...
textures for a nice old model by Cardean
starting some LMS period 1 and period 2 stock
some older dining cars that made their way north
HR non passenger coaching stock
and HR wagons
some cabs
...and that is not to mention later HR and LMS liveries for Castles, Big Goods and Lochs
...or finishing the working valve gear on the LSWR 700 class
...or as Bruce says fixing all those problems with the Highland Route

My Working_on folder is 1.26 gigglybits.
Some of the stuff has been in there for years.
I've also got private owners wagon packs that are always ready to upload when I find another wagon to add to them.
Must be about 200 wagons in them by now.
Where's that round tuit?

Hi,
Here's a few pieces from my pile of broken plates. "The ones that fell whilst I was practising"
This project started out as a set of reskins for Richard Osbourne's models. Not content with these, I decided to upscale the textures to 1024 and re-build the models too! They still need a few tweaks and a gracious nod from Richard.
regards

Hi Jimmy,
Finnish her off, I have recently seen some pictures of her running in and out of New St back in the day. So she will have a happy home on BC1

Darwin, I`m delighted to hear you ,might yet tweak the 700 coupling rods. It is one of my favourite models, and just right for NewForest route.
Steve, that`s a mouthwatering selection of Bulleids! Do please finish them off, when you have time. I was thinking of taking time off routebuilding to do a similar project, but no need now you already have the work so well in hand.
Cheers, Rick

Interesting story Rick... all the parts are there and all the animations (kind of) because it is the same as the Small Ben...except... each animation has to moved to a different location because of the different lengths and centres of the model...lots of adding and subtrating...I got nearly half way through the parts... now before i can pick it up again i will have to work out which bits are adjusted and which bits are not.

I've been a victim of starting lots and finishing too few, some of my models are so old they were replaced by more modern versions of the model before the originals were released which is a pain in the backside for the texturers !
