Hi Mick if i can figure out the mapping and get the cant lined up on the roof lines i dont see why they cant be finished very soon, most of the detail for the bodysides are there, front and windows just need finalising then a wash of colour
Finding good piccys of the sidses has been hardwork though but i think i have most of the detail now

I wish I could texture and re-skin. I tried again last weekend and failed miserably!!! Steve have you ever thought of writing a step by step guide for idiots?
I can't wait for the new Deltic. I just know it's going to be superb.

Steve if you could that would be fantastic, but it would have to be slow and patient as, although I'm not bad with computers at all and know my way around quite well the are of reskinning and texturing just totally leaves me for dead.
My ambition is to do 47528 in Intercity Mainline livery but how I even get started has got me beat.
I'm sure that makes me sound like a right thicko but if I can have a few pointers I know I'd pick it up.
Kind regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
that makes me sound like a right thicko
Definately not, mate!
Excuse me for butting in here, but when I see the what Steve and the other artists (for that is what they are!) do, I look and think how the dickens do they do something that looks so good. I am absolutely no good with anything that needs artistic skills; I know there is an abundance of software available to do the basic work, but it still needs the human eye to know when it looks right!
So any tutorial which uses the 'painting by numbers' approach would be very useful
Thank you,
Cheers,
Ged

Ha Steve you're just showing off now!!!!
I look forward to your simple tutorial. For a start I'd like to find out how I go about stripping an existing reskin back to it's bare basics so that I can start doing my thing.
Thanks for your help.
Have a good weekend,
Simon

Steve,
I hate to say this but the cab front looks a bit too pointed.

and the front side windows were just plated over and not filled in as you have them depicted.
A great new model otherwise, well done.
John.

Its Mark Shipmans original model and theres still bits that need adding detail wise so i can soon add the plating but cant do anything about the shape ^^
