Bristol Jubilees

Post by 1crick14a »

This is a pack of seven Bristol (Barrow Road) Jubilees. They are all derived from TwoManyDJs (David Robinson aka "Tornado Dave") BR Jubilee 45699. Many thanks to Dave for permission to do these and also many thanks to Hans Nooyen for permission to include his Royal Scot cab as part of the package. Thanks also to Mickrik (Michael Young) for permission to include his 8F crew shape file.

Early and late versions of each loco are included, the early ones having the London Midland Shedplate 22A and the later one the Western Region 82E. Early and late Crest tenders are included. In general the early tender would go with the 22A locos and the late with the 82E locos, HOWEVER this is not set in stone.

The 3 cylinder sound set (File ID: 2896) and the steam crew set (File ID: 7706) are also required.

Here are the numbers and names. Most of these were based at Barrow Road throughout the fifties, some went on to Shrewsbury (Coleham) to end their time.

45572 Eire
45651 Shovell
45660 Rooke
45662 Kempenfelt
45682 Trafalgar
45685 Barfleur
45690 Leander

NB: Dave's 45699 Galatea was based at Barrow Road throughout the fifties so you can add that one to the list!!

Hi,
May I add my thanks for the Bristol Jubilees. Great to see the green 45690 in the list. Takes me back to train spotting at Derby Midland in the mid-50s when Leander appeared AGAIN on the Devonian, to a great chorus of groans!! Now it's great to see her anytime.

One small problem with the pack. The executable creates a folder Common_Sound within the Trainset folder to contain the sms and wav files, but the eng files call them from the folder common.sound. Simple to correct; copy the contents of the Common_Sound folder into common.sound.

Regards,
Ged
