Yes I should have perhaps mentioned that speeding over 95mph causes an emergency brake application..... units didn't ever go above 90mph in use.
(You can take this out.... or increase it)
Without it I think I managed around 108mph on the level.
However I've tested this and with quick reactions, I've managed to stay above 60mph.
I did increase the power cars brake force, as I found it too weak here, and over shot a couple of stations.
(Again you can reduce it to whats more comfortable for your setup).
The brakes do cut power (again you can take this out) although realistically you shouldn't have power on with the brakes.
I'm really not sure why the brakes are taking so long to pressurize on a couple of peoples setups.... strange.
I'm using Bin 1.7.1022.
All I can suggest is to alter the brakes to some that work on your setup.
Cheers
Jon
Hi Jon.
Fraid I have not been doing anything much on the trainsim over the last week or so as i have had to get up at "silly o Clock" for various early turns.
Now back to the Pullmans The Midland one is restricted to 93MPH before it dumps all of the brake, but my version of the Birmingham Pullman has achived 102MPH so far.
I also have Bin 1.7.1022. set up on my simulator.
Ah so it looks as if I am one of the couple of people with long brake pressurizzing peoblems.sadly, I do not know how to alter the brake values or indeed where to excatly find them,in the engine files,Perhaps if I could have a little help or tuition with this please.
The activities on Burton Derby 2 that Im trying them out on are 70000 from Elford to Nottingham with the Midland set and D77 Birmingham (Elford) to Nottingham with the Biirmingham Pullman set. Whilst running in activity mode, the trains start on the move with the brakes fully charged, but trying to slow down with just an inital brake application,
causes the brake to go straight to full service and obviously the train shudders to a halt with all the soup spilled in everyones laps, and remains stationary until the brake pressure reaches 104PSI and the brake cyliners 13 PSI, as stated before It is possible for the train to then take power and move however my versions when doing this, obviously have the brakes
dragging, and for some reason the sound of Dynamic braking can be heard, Should this be happening? Also in the cab whilst the brakes are recharging the amp needle goes to zero until the brakes are fully charged and brake cylinders released and incidently, thats when the dynamic brake sound stops. Also whilst the brake charges up the main resivoir neddle dances
back and forth between zero and 40PSI, should that be happening.
Ideally I would like to run the sets on other routes, Soutampton to Lymington on the New forest route comes to mind plenty of signal stops there en route!
Also the Austrian Taurenbahn, which has single lines steep gradients and plenty of signal stops/speed restrictions.
But obviously can not do this unless I can get the brakes to release quicker.
I did not realise that the blue pullman sets used the twin pipe system thought it would have been electro phumatic brake or EPB!!
Also didnt realise the pullmans shared the same MAN engines as the NBL class D63XX no wonder they were not sucsessfull.
Anyway, any help out there with my brake problems would be very much appreciated and also if I could be pointed in the right direction as to how to post screenshots perhaps I could ilustrate what I mean.
Cheers Andy
