Hi
Well I've been busy, busy , busy......... cabview (with Night view) done.... sounds now giving me a new grief
Hopefully sound OK on all routes, with or without Ttype.dat track sounds.
Still its nearly done..... a few tweeks here and there.
Cheers

Re: Blue Pullman
We - well me at least - have all been there! For some reason one CabView folder that I had copied from one model failed to show in another, but the same one copied from an alternative eventually did??? Certainly MSTS can be frustrating at times, but when it all comes together what joy!jbilton wrote:Hi

Re: Blue Pullman
Hi Jon.
I have just recently purchased Don Hintons Burton-Derby V2 route, loads of steam, a few green diesels but something missing.
Ah Yes of course The Blue Midland Pullman.
So The only circa 2002 version available from MSTS is downloaded, Not too bad, I guess, it will do, There certainly wont ever be an updated version.
Mine currently has the HST sound file anf the class 45 cab view from Dons CD.
Well, The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I first saw this thread, Totally uncanny!!!!
needless to say the 2002 version will be shunted away in favour of the "Updated version"
Good luck with the project and thanks in advance.
Cheers
Andy

Ahhhh, I was afraid of that, have never replied in PM form before, I need tuition then.

Must dash, off to work now.
Cheers

Re: Blue Pullman
Hi Andy
No problem.... I was wondering why I hadn't had a reply.
(There should be a button called reply at the bottom of a PM)
A couple of people have asked similar questions .... they are not quick release.
(I did quick release Vacuum on Gen1 DMUs)
They are twin piped 110 psi .... takes the compressor a couple of min's to charge the system initially and about 10 seconds at stations.... if your not to heavy handed on braking.
They are blended with dynamic, as the real Pullman had two stage Air brakes..... but I can't simulate that.
I thought it was fun.... but feel free to alter them if you wish.
Cheers
Jon
PS I would edit your email off the forums ....as otherwise you'll get spamed.

Sorry, unable to find reply button on the PM, I used the submit button which obviously did not work.
I have run both sets on Burton Derby activities but am having problems with very slow brake releases.
From 85 PSI Train pipe, 50 PSI brake cylinder to 104 PSI Train pipe, 13 PSI brake cylinder, takes 5 minutes to achieve.
This is the minimum brake pressure required to move the train.
It is impossible to make a smooth stop or in fact stop where you want to and move the train again until the train brake achieves 104 PSI.
I have also found that moving the train brake to inital braking causes a full service application (reduced to 85PSI Train pipe) and the train conmes up in a big heap (Railway traincrew slang for a heavy stop)
Also until the train pipe has charged to the full 110 PSI, the amp needle stays at zero but the unit is defently taking power.
Have also taken both units up to 95 MPH where the brakes get totally dumped and the train is going nowhere for around 12 to 15 minutes until the brakes recharge.
Otherwise Cab views, both ends very good, as is internal view and external. The wipers do not work on my units dont know if they are supposed to as per 2010 readme.
If you can just tweak the amount of time it takes to release brakes especially when moving, then as far as i am concerned they are ready for release, Absolutly superb.
Cheers

Re: Blue Pullman
Hi Andy
Yes I should have perhaps mentioned that speeding over 95mph causes an emergency brake application..... units didn't ever go above 90mph in use.
(You can take this out.... or increase it)
Without it I think I managed around 108mph on the level.
However I've tested this and with quick reactions, I've managed to stay above 60mph.
I did increase the power cars brake force, as I found it too weak here, and over shot a couple of stations.
(Again you can reduce it to whats more comfortable for your setup).
The brakes do cut power (again you can take this out) although realistically you shouldn't have power on with the brakes.
I'm really not sure why the brakes are taking so long to pressurize on a couple of peoples setups.... strange.
I'm using Bin 1.7.1022.
All I can suggest is to alter the brakes to some that work on your setup.
Cheers
