@douglee, I agree - but my dad still thinks it's all a gimmick - MSTS 10 years old next year and still going - unlike some of my models

Hi All,

With detail like this, Who needs a Model Railway?
Fantistic!
Good luck

Having said that, I have both a Model Railway and MSTS living together. The railway is slowly re-emerging from Pickfords boxes after the move at the moment.
Good luck

The trick is to time it so the trains disappear off the end of the model railway and appear on your PC screen a few seconds later

Hi Seb,
So the tunnel through the monitor was not such a silly idea after all.
DOH!
Good luck

Hi Charles,
Your Bedford-Hitchin route continues to look fabulous!
I have sent you lots and lots of pictures of what the line looks like nowadays in Cardington, Ireland, Southill and Shefford. I hope you find them interesting.
Do you have any screen shots of the "firing range" bridge at Ireland, please, because I am unsure of the purpose of its being built as there is no road there now, only fields. Was there a road there back in the day??
Cheers

Wow, just...wow.
Every little detail in those shots looks real. I particularly like the bull-head rail and chairs - which trackset did you use?
Can't wait for this - the perfect small route

Its UK Fine Scale. The best available in my opinion.

Been making some good progress recently and Bedford is coming on nicely. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel for this project!

The big issue at the moment is sacrificing game performance for detail. The route has some very busy tiles (object count is 1750 in one example) and FPS down to 9/8 in places. I have an old PC though so not everyone should experience this. Pending obtaining all necessary permissions for an activity pack the route should be released in the not to distant furture.
Cheers
Charles
