The locos and coaches are OK but lack the fine detail we are used to these days.
Wagons are quite frankly crude.
Hi,
my philosophy for msts rolling stocks is "polygons are a necessary harm", I have an old PC and wagon with 2000 polygons or more (my wagons have less than 800 polygons), slow down the frame rate too much.
If you havn't this problem, you can use my wagon for consists and AI trains and use the excellent Pat's wagons for your train.
Bye, renzo.

Renzo
For what its worth I think the extra miles into Leeds are excellent.
Historically what you have done is spot on.
Only thing I can see wrong is you missed out a few Signal boxes.
I have put that right in my copy so again thanks for your efforts.
Regards Rick

Hi Rick,
I live in Italy and what I know of the line I learned reading on the web and some books I have read with difficulty (my English is not good!)
If you make a list of things to correct, I change the route.
Bye, renzo.

I didn't mean to offend Renzo. I understand how difficult it is to find information about wagons in order to model them.
Must be almost impossible in Italy.
If you need info and drawings just ask me and I'll see what I can do to help.
You are also free to include my wagons in any route you do.
Just ask.
I've just completed some Midland wagons for the Highworth route.

Hello,
I'm not offended. I prefer to use stock with few polygons, but this is my choice.
I hope you do too new activity that you know better than me the history of online activity that will download and play happily.
They are welcome wagons and those of your CD Pat, I only have to learn.
bye, renzo.
PS, to write use a bit 'of my english school and do not want to be misunderstood, I hope that the line I'm done, out of love for the railroad, is welcome.

Yes, I discovered the naming error with common.cabs, Renzo. I must say that I admire anyone who can produce a reasonble-looking route and this one is pretty good indeed. But to do that and to build the specialized rolling stock it needs is a great achievement. Maybe there are a few better models out there but nevertheless it is wonderful to have a variety of relevant pre-grouping companies' stock and to my mind your efforts are more than acceptable. And as for the cabs, well it's easy enough to alias them to something more authentic. So I am really glad you have shared your work with us.

Hi renzo
I have downloaded the route from the link provided and installed it ok but seem to be missing oldwagsound from the common sound folder.
No acts will run without the sounds as it crashes the sim even explore as the consists need the sound also. I have made an act to explore
the route, only gone a mile or so up to now and you have done a very good job with this route thank you for shareing it with us all.
I have explored the site to see if i could find the sounds but can`t find them, also re downloaded the files still not there, hope you can point me
in the right direction.
Thanks again for the route
John

I had the same problem of the missing Oldwagsound, which should be in the common.sound folder but isn't. I worked around it by making a copy of
GenPassWagSteam.sms and then renaming it appropriately, but it would be nice to know what the intended sounds are like.

Dear friends,
thanks for giving me the error reported.
I had downloaded the Oldwagsound file from
http://www.zugsimulator.de but I can not find the file.
Now I have Added this too in the download of the rolling stock.
Now you can download the sound file to put into the folder common.sound:
http://www.ildeposito.net/Files/Vari/Oldwagsound.zip
bye, Renzo.

I guessed the Oldwagsound file was from the German train site but I couldn't find it there either, so thanks for this, Renzo.

Hi Renzo
Thank you for sharing your route and stock with the world wide community.
Considering your location and the limited resources avaiable to you, your route and stock are an outstanding achievement.
Your time and effort in creating them is greatly appreciated.
Kindest regards

Have any of you seen what Renzo has achieved, something
I spoke about many many months back.
He has use Tunnel tracks for short places at Leeds and Carlisle
stations, if your eng files are set up well you will get wheel spin
when starting if your on this section of track and of course wheel
slide on braking.
How has he done this without showning the tunnel itself? answers anyone
Renzo if you feel inclined to let us know your secret? please do.
Rick
PS forgot to mention you get night cab effect in there as well
