The full path is in the zip - make sure you didn't accidently put it in routes\swansea1\world\program files\microsoft games\train sim....etc.

It works fine for me, though there are a couple of places where the train doesn't follow the track - luckily it doesn't derail, just looks odd!

Alan2

Thanks for the patch, it works a treat.

I had removed the platform pieces to get the route to work, but never got round to doing the substitution.

Gave the Swansea route another bash this time with the patch and now works fine and long overdue praise to John Arran for an excellent route.

I am very interested in reading all freezes are now fixed. I find some of the points at start of simulation, fail to react to the key G presses.
Another error that occurs in my copy of Swansea, is taking the first point to the left after start, train proceeds until just reaching the first bridge. Train just freezes the computer, until Esc/Spacebar is pressed once or twice, and after a short pause the simulation jumps into action, travelling to the first station. Remainder of route continues to terminus with no further mishaps. I find Swansea route very well programmed, with excellant graphics. Any suggestions as to rectifying this one error, would be most appreciated. I have installed the zip file, required to remove the errors mentioned, except for the one freeze up.

I found this error on my first install. Don't know what it was but I removed the Swansea route and re-installed it.

then I made the patch and it was OK?!.

So i would try the same. uninstall and then install the patch again.

If this fails download Route Riter v3.7.7 and uncompress all the world file's. then re-compress them again!?. This may help but it take's a long time, Took me about 30 Min's on a 2 GHz pc.

Hi alan 2,
I tried to uninstall and reinstall Swansea plus the patch several times, still errors persists. It could be, that it functions better on some computers than others. Computer make up, are like people, not two alike.
Still I look forward to download this excellent software title, when all the faults have been ironed out.

Would like to mention that this route uses alot of Dynamic Track which may be causing the error's you are seeing.

The best solution may be to wait until John Arran to finish another version of the route and re-upload it.

He has mentioned about re-building the Dynamic Track Section which is causing the problem's at swansea.

I have deleted all the offending track pieces and the offending snap platforms. Cockett station now has normal platforms and all dynamic track has been relaid. The new version of the route is now also Xtracks compatible and runs with Tsection.dat v010. As a result of relaying track I now have to redo the signals and the new version will be ready to upload.

Only problem is finding the time to place the signals 'cos IKB and myself are busy doing and extended version Swansea-Milford in Auran Trainz. :D :D :D It's gonna be quite a route. Anyway, I promise to find the time to lay the signals this coming weekend and upload the new version then.
