How much of Old Oak Common shed are you doing? I only ask as I work there and it would be nice to drive a Castle around instead of these damn 332's for Heathrow Express !!

well, it will be when it's scenic-ed up. can't think of anything worse than driving through barren green-ness.

i'd suggest only making it available when it's done.

but what do i know?

Several pieces of the route are done from memory, such as Paignton Station with the iron lattice footbridge that every boy would stand on, waiting for the train to depart and be enveloped in steam as the engine passed underneath.

Thanks, I suspected your childhood may have had something to do with it. What you experience in childhood often influences much of later life, including Trainsim projects! Were you one of those boys on the bridge BTW ;)

Excellent. (praise indeed coming from a die hard GER man). I suppose I will now have somewhere to run the Western 52s as I can't allow them on the ECML!

How have you managed to keep it so quiet?

I can't wait- it's looking great (I'm a poet and I didn't know it!)

Oops! Sorry I am lapsing into route building jargon. TDB stands for track database. Whenever you make changes to the the track you should carry out a rebuild in the Route editor. This destroys the links to all junction signals and they then have to be relinked.

We would like to do all of it !!
If you have any photos from the 50s please send them to me on jpeg .
We have done laira near plymouth as a substantial yard and of coarse Penzance and Newton Abbot have their own yards aswell to run your Castles around, but Old Oak Common was down for next year Im afraid as we decided only WEST of Exeter by Christmas .

Thanks.. by the way for everybodys positive comments ...well wait after publication for the negative ones !!!!
