Newsflash!! Yorkshire / North of England Route is back!!!

Post by ArrivaTrains »

Right everyone, ive been tinkering away at the files for the route and so far ive produced 4 clickteam installers of the following sizes:

1) 19MB - All necessary Route Files (inc Credits, Docs and a few 'extras')
2) 17MB - Texture Pack 1
3) 24MB - Texture Pack 2
4) 26MB - Texture Pack 3

Im gonna do a bit more work and once ive zipped them up I should have 4 files at about 20MB each  I will do my best to decrease this though.

Here are the current stats for the route:

Uses X-tracks 3.1 or later
120+ miles of track laid (60% of network laid)
2 Airports
2 Seaports
3 Traincare Depots
1 Airforce Base
2 Holiday Resorts
3 Power Stations
2 Coalmines
1 Army Base
8 Freight Yards
More than 50 stations

3 Test Activities (using default stock) at present.

Scenery is 50% complete.

Im not sure of an upload date yet - maybe ill get the beta uploaded at the weekend so that those of you who want to can test it and let me know what you think needs changing :)

Right, thats all the news for now. Back to preparing my installers

Bye for now,

Lee

(PS - I havent forgotten about my Modern England rebuild project - im still working on that as well!).

I tried the original, and it showed promise, but some of the track laying was a bit rough. Hopefully this is improved with the next version.

I need some good activities for it, because I don't/can't make my own, and soon get fed up with explore mode. This is why I have not touched the Yorkshire route or the Swansea route or the Taieri route or the Talyllyn since I installed them. I only found a couple of activities for the Albula route and West Highland too.

The routes I do use, Mid East UK, Caldervale and Woodhead; because they have plenty of activities available.

I'll knock up an activity or two for it, as soon as I get my mits on a beta! :)

Ian, Martin H has done a couple of Tallylyn activities. I'm sure he'll send them to you if you ask. Correct timetable 2 3/4 hour out and back trip starting with Sir Haydn on shed - collect coaches from shed - take to Wharf - round trip to Nant - return coaches and loco to shed. You can even have your real lunch in the 30min stopover at Abergernowlyn....

Thanks Martin, why have they not been uploaded here?

The original Yorkshire route was very fictitious, but used real place names. It was quite nicely laid out though, with lots of interesting stuff to drive past.

They are a bit raw Ian - they work, but no proper intro instructions, etc. Martin plans to upload them soon I think.

86Mb. Good thing I'm getting broadband :) . Looking forward to seeing the airports, as I'm an aviation junkie too!
