What you have built and what you are building, pleases me too Terry. I was brought up around Manchester and later Southport, so the NWE Route is home territory as far as I'm concerned. This will be a fantastic route when finished, in fact one of the Premier League of MSTS. Keep at it Terry, I know you will make a good job of it and give us all many many hours of pleasure from it. :D :D :D

There won't be an "update" to download, sorry, But my plan is to have the entire V3 route to be available as a new, seperate, download.

Wow, that looks awesome. Given I spent the late 80's at Manchester uni riding the rails most days behind 31's to Liverpool, Barrow and the like, this will be another DVD I'll definitely buy. The tiny cost of the DVD version with all the stock and tested activities included in one easy install makes it a must-have. NWE2 was superb, and provided many many hours of enjoyable driving, so NWE3 will be high on my list when released.

Hi Terry really cant wait for NEW V3. What era is this set in? Im presuming its 40s or 50s with all the factories in it. I know this sounds a stupid question but on a route this scale how do you know where everythin goes what they look like etc...

It looks like you will have to wait Dean, Terry has a lot of work with this one. I should imagine it will be set around the early sixties, like NWE2 is, with both Steam & Diesel not looking out of place. Regarding how to find out where to put everything, can be obtained from old photographs, but to get everything perfect would not be possible, alot of route building is made up with scenery that resembles a particular area. To get it picture perfect would be impossble, but most real routes that have been created so far, are pretty much as good as you can get them, and its a credit to those that build them.

It's a hybrid in terms of eras (as per NWE 2)

Scenery is very generic, but at least this time I've got the additional tool of Google Earth to assist. :)

Still doing signalling......

The only books I've purchased are Quail Maps, and gradient profiles.

I have to say I'm really looking forward to NWE v3 Terry. Recently I have been playing NWE v2.2 non-stop, the scope of expansion on v3 will make things very interesting, I'm excited at the idea of finally being able to tackle Copy Pit and Shap.

Keep up the great work Terry

Fantastic job, Terry!

For me, it'll be worth getting just to be able to run the Lancaster to Morecambe service, everything else is a massive bonus!

I'm also looking forward to the route, and I would not disagree if the Morecambe to Heysham branch was included,
for me thats the icing on the cake.
Many thanks Terry for the route,
