Are there any screenshots of the signals that are being used in Version 6? I'd be very interested to see which ones. :)

Im just guessing but saving and reloading will be an option, specially since the extensions to Yeovil, Salisbury etc will be added increasing gameplay even further. Depending on the activity i guess, the more traffic the more you'd have to save, quit wait 10minutes and run the route again driver :P

Oh and the heavy sound in the cabs, can i remove that manually?, It's also when a train passes, that heavy sort of construction sound the trains have in cab and passing.

In regards to solid state disk (NOT a USB Stick) I'll look into that and see what i can do but yeah to draw all those shapes does require a powerful GFX engine.

Thanks for the feedback, its just one of the routes that is really heavily intense, and i can't enjoy even with what i have :D
Although I don't have an SSD HD, I do know the main thing which slows down MSTS is hard-drive access as there is no pre-caching into memory. Also MSTS uses lots of small files for every object meaning that when it requests something, file-access time is much more important than sustained transfer-rate.

SSD HDs are still very expensive compared with normal HDs, but if you install MSTS and all routes to one (a decent 60GB model can be picked up for around £120, or 120GB for £230 from one site I checked -- which isn't much more than conventional HDs cost when MSTS was released back in 2001), then access-time is all but eliminated, and the transfer-speed from those drives I looked at is higher than any conventional consumer hard-drive (including the Western Digital Raptor drives- long the performance kings). The stuttering while loading objects should be all but eliminated by using one for MSTS. The only thing to bear in mind is that for just £80, you could buy a very nice 1TB (1000GB) normal HD.
Pricey, one day mate thanks!

Also could i add something...

When running Dorset Coast specially if it's a long activity. The HDD sometimes starts loading, freezes MSTS and quits. Anyone else had this happen to them? The track also disappears specially if i'm doing an activity from waterloo to weymouth, i have to save where i am, run the 5.0bat and continue. Not a huge problem as it doesn't crash but still a bit weird.

I used to have this problem on my old PC with Thames Mersey. I think then, I only had 786MBs of ram and no MSTSBin. I ran from Euston to Liverpool and by the time I got to Crewe track started dissapearing and scenery stopped loading.

Ive not actually ran the full length again since I got the new PC, or since I installed MSTSBin. I do know that MSTSBin improve the way MSTS used memory, if you don't have that installed, then I would suggest you do.

Don't want to be greedy but shouldn't there be something between Yeovil and Dorchester just to close the gap?
I am sure something will be done for the small single line section.

The new activities I'm most looking forward to. What will we have to do with the old ones just delete those or leave them where they are? It's a pity they don't work, they're really good.
