Check out the V6 activity section in the download library, there are quite a few activities in there already - albeit that some are fixed earlier versions.

Re: Dorset Coast V6
Ive also updated 3 of my original activities for V3 or earlier, so that they now run on V6. I have another featuring Tornado in the pipeline but its proving to be a bit of a struggle to complete
It will be a few weeks yet.

Indeed - one of my very early activities has been tested and works fine as far as I can tell, so has been moved into the DC6 category.
I've just not had time to work on any new activities for V6 - had other things to do. I also encountered performance issues on my laptop, and am awaiting a replacement PC.

Just a suggestion for yourself and maybe others thinking of doing the same.
When DC5 came out, I moved some of my DC4 acts in to the DC5 catergory as they worked fine. BUT I got a fair few PMs from people "Your act says it was built on version xxxxx, but this is version yyyyy, what do I do?"
Therefore this time round once I tested them on DC6, I re-packaged and re-uploaded, and thankfully had none of the above PMs!
Just an idea!

I was still holding out for the new acts using the new branch specially the passenger services. I think i'll upgrade the route and re-install the old acts (I really enjoy those)

Hows the DVD coming a long?
At least this is in progress, the District Line seems to have stopped since 2006

Patience, on both counts, please. Lack of public activity doesn't mean that no progress is being made. Both author teams have consistently said that when there's more news to post, it will be posted.JunGRail wrote:Hows the DVD coming a long?

How many times do we need to say this?

Re: Dorset Coast V6
Out of interest, how many people who've downloaded
have used the era switcher and what do you think?
Of the switcher itself, and of the loading screens.
Just wondering if people like this idea or whether it's just me?

Hi Geoff,
I've just tried your switching era,I switched to original NSE and it realy good,I think it's a good idea, just one thing if you do a update could you make a switch to BR Blue era as well.
Many thanks for taking the time to make this route switchable.

I thought about BR Blue and even SR Green as the DVD will have many activities for those eras included, but to be honest that is pushing the route back to a point where the track layout is significantly different and peoples expectations might be for something other than a simple cosmetic signage change.

Re: Dorset Coast V6
Thanks Dave for your reply,I can understand not pushing it back any further in time.
Other wise you would have to put the middle tracks back in at Bournemouth and Pokesdown, also at Poole there were 2 level crossings, and not as in the route, where the bridge is that used to be a level crossing.

Re: Dorset Coast V6
I gave the era switcher a very quick test earlier
Nothing like a 50 in NSE Livery Pulling out of Yeovil (with NSE Signs) with a mix of NSE and BR Blue & Grey coaches to bring a smile to the face
Good work Dave & Co. a BR Blue era version could also be intresting

Glad you like it.
The main work is Daves - I just packaged it up.

Well they better change them soon as the guidelines from the recent report by Lord Adonis stateFGW Station don't have blue Signs and use FGW ones and Ash is SWT
Station Signage
To ensure network consistency and reduced franchise costs, all signage should be in standard ‘Brunel’ script with white letters on a dark blue background. Thereafter, name signs should not be changed when train company ownership changes.
Large pictograms are to be encouraged to avoid multi-lingual signing and excessive wording. The Network Rail Architect has issued Design Guides for both Managed and Franchised station signing which should be expanded and included in Franchise Agreements. Any ownership branding should be on a strip immediately below station name signs.
