re Swansea-Carmarthen
40058 - and others.
I had the same problem - swapped tsection.dat files over etc etc etc
I installed the four magnetic platform sets, still no joy, until.......
I installed Tsection v00010.zip which apparently one needs if one has X-Tracks installed. This little fella pops a nice shiny new tsection.dat file into the Global folder - and hey presto! IT WORKS

I'm using v0009 without the installation problems reported, wasn't even aware that 00010 had been released. I'm not so sure that xtracks and the tsection.dat file have anything to do with installation problems. Xtracks is blamed far to often because of the problems associated with dynamic track in its early days.
The tsection.dat file supplied by John should give no problems with his route. However, where you may run into trouble is using another route which has been built or modified using later versions of the tsection.dat file and xtracks, hence the reason for constantly updating the Global tsection.dat file, not the individual route one.
