white tile

In a large route which is under construction, an error has occurred during the past month, in which the number of W files was expanded from 1130 to 1305 files, so going to the last backup is not what we want. The error is a "white" tile with the following properties:

Route-Riter reports that over a hundred track nodes require a specific W file which is missing.

The World folder contains the "missing" W file which according the date has not changed for half a year.

The Route Editor shows all track, road, signals, platforms, forest, trees, catenary, buildings, bridges to be present, but all objects are floating in a white space.

In the folder Tiles various new files were made, some files were changed, but no file has been deleted.

The only reason we can think of is that something has gone wrong with one of the files in the TD folder.

Please help us.
Wim

I reckon that it's a corrupt terrain tile.

Go to your route TILES folder and sort by file size. See if there is a .t file with a small size, note its number, and copy the same over from a back up.

The long-winded method would be a follows:-
Back up your TILES Folder to a secure location
Copy the contents of an earlier TILES folder across from before the problem arose and overwrite.
Navigate to the tile in question in RE and make a terrain adjustment on that tile.
Save and close.
Go to your route TILES folder and sort by date modified.
Make a note of the tile you've just modified.
Paste back your TILES folder from the secure location, overwriting everything.
Go to your back up and again find the file numbers you've jotted down. Copy & paste into the route.

Back everything up first, of course

Thanks Terry, but NO.
The world files, the rit-tit-trb-rdb files and tsection and the td folder were received from the collegue who did the construction during the past month. He did not yet give me any modified tiles. The error occurred in three W files which had not been modified in the past few monthes.

The error is located ( not repaired )
By replacing the two TD files in the TD folder, the error in the three ( not one ) most northern tiles was corrected, but
the error was now in the recent eastern extension
So the error was made, and has to be repaired, by the geometry extractor

Hi vanstek.
No sollution from myself but I would be bringing out the backups.
Just one thing, check in the Route Geometry Extractor that the tile in question does have a cross in it. (no cross no tile)
I'm sure you will have already checked that one.
Good luck.
Buckeye.
