Hi,
I'm now starting to get confused what route are we actualy talking about? so far we seem to have had BrisCard V3 Dorset Coast and now Brum to where? I presume it's Brum-Bris all in the one thread.

I was going to try and download the route and have a look ,but as I'm off to the Rhine Valley in a couple of days time I haven't upgraded to Premium Membership, just hope this hotel does'nt have the railway running past the bedroom window this time, the last time the hotel did and all you got through the night was freight trains about every 15 mins.

Looking at the readme you need new roads ukfs tracks and xtracks,Tsection dat 38 or 41,but i think the route has some problems with signals at Bath if you use 41,you get the passed signal at danger message

sigc/g.dat is missing from my Bris card. Does anyone know where/what it is?

I am going to assume that you are talking about V5, not V3.

I think you are referring to sigcfg.dat in the BrisCard directory. If you still have the BrisCard.zip file for the upgrade from V4 to V5, you'll find it in there.

If you don't have the zip file, PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.

Chris

I've just tried installing BrisCard V5 and I seem to be having an error. I keep getting the message

BrisCard V5 has not been installed for the following reason:

File Corrupt or unreadable:
Textures\night\StoneRed.ace

Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the download may be corrupted - I would try re-downloading the files again (you have downloaded all 3 files and followed the extraction routine to put them all in the same location before running the install?)

Hi All,
A small heads up on file sharing.

Tony is the author of Bris-Card so can do what he likes with the files. Like sending them to someone else.

Anyone else is bound by Copyrite and must obtain permission before sending/uploading any files belong to others. See Forum Rules.

I realise that the vast majority of readers will know this but it is worth repeating.

Good luck
Doug

I don't think sending the file would help any as the problem seems to be corrupt files with the installer. I've tried re downloading several times, followed all the steps and still get the same error message. I think I might just have to give this one a miss :(

Hi monkster,
Please don't turn Chris' offer down! It is one file, as opposed to the three files for download from this site.

Just after the route was made available here, Chris also made the one-file option available on his site; I think there were a few bugs in the original UKTS version of v5 (probably corrected now!), but that's how I got it, and didn't have any problems.

Cheers,
Ged

EDIT : Apologies - re-reading Chris' offer, I see it isn't for the full route
I will download the files from UKTS and see if I have the same problem.

Hi monkster,
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the BrisCard v5 files on this site!!

The problem is caused by yourself :( You MUST rename the files as detailed in the title screen for the downloads. If you don't, you get exactly the message you got - it would have been when the installer is looking for the second file.

Once installed, download and install the following file :
Invalid File ID [26208]

It corrects the bug I referred to earlier!

Cheers,
Ged

EDIT : Don't worry Doug, Chris Young is Tony Hap, or vice versa - it got me a little confused, too :o

I have re-named the files exactly as it says too, that is the problem I'm having I think. It will do number 1 ok but as soon as it gets to number 2 it decides not to work any more :/
