Yes it does look a superb viaduct.desiro5 wrote:Oh wow - stunning.
Big Vern is knocking up another 'classic viaduct' this week in KRS, will be interesting to compare.........looking at Reg's I think Vern's got a bit to go.
Cheers

HI All,
Assuming equal or better? scenery as on Skipton to Carlisle 1920 by Pat Dalton & Co. another reason to keep with MSTS1.
Great work Reg.

Re: Do you know where it is yet
Have downloaded and tried Pats route, and it now seems a little pointless carrying on with mine. The only thing I thought let Skipton - Carlisle down was the use of the original viaducts. So I am now attempting to replace them ALL with better models. Have reached Smardale ( from Settle ) at the moment, and they do look a bit better.
I will have to get in touch with Pat to see what he thinks.
I put up some screen shots to show you the progress.

Looking fantastic Reg,
Just wondering, where did you find those nice looking track textures?
Cheers.

Try looking here Kieran, I don't know whether it's the one used here but there's a couple of nice textures mentioned:kieranhardy wrote:Or if anyone else knows where they can be found it would be greatly apreciated

Re: Do you know where it is yet
I think you're right Kieran, it could be Regs own texture mentioned in the link that I suppose isn't available yet. Certainly does look the part though, very impressive for default track.

Re: Do you know where it is yet
Hi guys,
The track textures are from a super little German route called Alpentalbahn V3 which is available for download from http://www.Bahn-Simulation.de/
Now can someone help me with some information regarding the bridges crossed immediately after leaving Settle?
According to my ref. book, and the Ordnance Survey map you cross a small bridge ( underbridge No.7) after leaving Settle station ( heading north ) You then cross Marshfield Viaduct ( 236miles 51 chains ) a structure of four arches. The next viaduct known as Settle viaduct , about nine chains later, crosses the A63 and is some six arches long.
There are no more underbridges now until Sherrif Brow viaduct, which is after passing through Taitlands tunnel.
So what is the second bridge on the Settle Carlisle route which crosses a river ( Lat 54.07351 Lon -2.27984 )
The same bridge is also on Pats route.

Hi Reg,
Your stations look O.K.
Out of interest. Have you seen this?

Might not be any use, but you never know.

Doug, it looks like Reg is building custom stations rather than using the defaults
