Airedale

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

I've downloaded it, and it refuses to appear in MSTS.

done the copy thing in the readme, and still no.

so i try to make an activity for it, since i know it won't appear without any services and stuff. i do this, and get the following message:

"Service (Bradford to Skipton) using invalid platorm. Both track items are invalid"

then the same again, then:

"Error Reading train database file

File: Trains\Consists\Metrocl321.con"

What is going on here? Help!

All you need is a Path set up - you don't need a service or an acitivity to be saved.

In AE, create a New Activity in AireDale, create a new Service, create a new Path - Save the Path but exit out of everything else.

SHould be OK then

what did you do? As Woodhead author I'm interested to know why you can't create activities for it. Though I wouldn't bother doing any more for V1.1 as V2.0 is getting closer (signalling to do next!)

People build complete routes with paths, services, activities, consists etc. I usually delete these to avoid error messages- the sim may look for a service or consist that you do not have.

thanks for the advice, after deleting the services i now only get"failed to load track database"error in activity editor, but the route still does not show in the game.so deleting the services has eliminated all but one error.
cheers-rich :)
