Do I Rebuild Track Database pre- or post-adding Car Spawners

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Do I Rebuild Track Database pre- or post-adding Car Spawners

Post by PWHolmes »

I have learnt the hard way that you do not signal a layout and then run Rebuild Track Database. I have been told that you should do this after adding all track and road sections and then never again.

Question: Knowing that doing an RTD will sever all signal connections to track, does it also sever all carspawning connections to road sections??

I do not want to learn THIS the hard way.

So, do I do my last RTD before of after adding carspawners????

Not necessarily, rebuilding the track database will usually sever a few of the links off signals such as feathers and bracket signals.

Do re-build track database, before you place Carspawners.

They tend to corrupt RDB and TDB.
