Glasgow - Carlisle - V3 - Important update.

Post by NiallGray »

Hi all.

I'm very sorry to post this news , but work has been halted on version 3 of this route. David, for various reasons I am not going into, is shelving the route.

It has not been decided whether it will be released in an unfinished format or whether version 2 will be left as the final version.

If and when I get further news I will post it.

See link for further info http://www.carmont.com/wptrains/

:(

Niall

PS I just want to personally thank David Carmont for all his hard work in giving me a route which I have got so much fun from over the past couple of years.

I take my hat off to all route builders who get their work finished. I've been trying for over a year to get my first route completed but I've been plagued with problems and am on the verge of giving up. Hopefully things will improve with the all new KRS and make the route builders life a bit easier.

Best of luck, Dave.

I've just heard that Carmont has stoped developing Glasgow - Carlisle V3 for good, so Glasgow - Carlisle v2 would be a final version.

Just heard? That decision was announced LAST YEAR!!! Look further up the thread.

It could still be possible to upload an unfinished version 3, I know as I have a copy on my drive and I've seen what needs to be done. It would be great to upload it as it would go perfectly with the 303/311 Ciaran is working on.

So I just heard about how to use ctrl+shift+9 after pressing F4 to make the camera stationary, and that was news which came about 6 years ago!

glasgowworks, aka bri cowell, knew last year the route was shelved as he posted on David's site at the time.

Oh and your attempt at sarcasm misses the point. But thanks for posting, reminds me I forgot to put you down as a foe.
