Inner London Routes

Post by Horgy »

Hi peeps, im working of Charing X - Dartford as some of you amy know..

Whats the consensus (sp?) on doing Inner London? If you go over the CHaring X Bridge you see awfully far down the Thames and the Framerates will probably go into minus figures if I go too complex! How complicated do I make the city of London? Or should I do 2 versions?

If you start to get unacceptable frame rates you can always suggest to users that they lower the graphic detail options in the game.

Use Backdrops - just do some Photos of the skyline on the route then make some backdrops. Just a couple of polys with the pic as a texture.

will there be a cannon street branch? the full london bridge? all the junctions? and will lewisham be as it is?

Or will your version be completely fictional using bits and pieces of the actually route?

Be interesting if you go for the fully detailed route with all stations junctions branches and the full lewisham track diagrams.

YES, YES, YES, and YES hopefully, the only thing that will be fictional is the landscape, but it wont be noticeable. Im on holdiay after tommorrow in greece, it'd be nice to have some data for station like charing x and waterloo east on my return, else i can t model em!

Will you include all the routes into Dartford, Horgy, as if you are, I can help you with Sidcup, even make some scenery you see as you travel on the routes, like, Marlowe House [The huge building on the approach to Sidcup], or Dartford station.

If you could that would be great! Yes i found an internet cafe in greece so ill be vaguely around, i shouldnt imagine marlowe house would be to complicated, but any help is appreciated! I plan to do all routes eventually, in waiting on the release of UKFS 2 and some data for Charing X, then ill start, at the moment im just fiddling. Charing X - London Bridge will be a bitch to do!

Should be interesting to see the result of the part of the route, it looks complicated from the train.

Luckily there are points on a curve avaliable on UKFS soon.
