Default Settle and Carlise alterattion

Post by wrightsie »

i have the default settle and carlise for train sim, i want ot make a small adjustment to the route leaving Carlise Station, you have to cross a section of single line track, to get in or out of carlise, there is a siding opposite this single line, that is about 15metres short of making it double track, wot i want help with is this, can soemboby tell me how to alter the siding to double track, i would need to remove the buffers, extend the track by 20metres at the most, and put in a set of points at the end
thats wot it looks like at the moment, and i need to extend the left hand side.

No need for diagrams, quite a simple operation which took me 2 minutes. Just replace the curve with a standard point where the line becomes 2 tracks at the end of the slope. Then remove the buffer stop and place staights pieces until they join. I don't know why it was built like this in the first place! This duoble track gives you better pathing now in and out of Carlisle. you don't get loads of AI trains waiting down the bottom of the slop any more.

Please bear in mind if you do alter default routes, then you may not be able to use any existing activites; and if you make activities people without these changes may not be able to use them!
