East Lancs Railway = ELR
Run's from Bolton Bury st. TO Ramsbottom, or it did last time I visited.
Alan Heath.
P.S. Can't wait to see the route. Could we have the Sir Nigel Gresley as I have rode on the footplate along the ELR on the Gresley.

Hi, yes, i was building the ELR. For the moment, it has come to a halt, as i have very little time to pursue building the route.
I do have plans to restart the route, but as yet, i don't know when.
It is good people have taken an interest in the ELR, and it's rolling stock.
I will keep u all posted when i can get started with the route. I do hope to restart it again sometime in the near future.
Many thanks to steve for those track schematics, i don't think i actually thanked u at the time, but i'm very greatful.
The ELR has had some hard times of late. In the flooding of late june/july, a bridge about 1 mile north of Irwell Vale was damaged/washed away, and so, normal services are only running to Ramsbottom, and a DMU is running between Ramsbottom and Irwell Vale. I don't know what is happening at Bury Bolton Street, as the platform at Heywood is not yet finished. Possibly services are running between Bury Bolton Street and Buckley Wells MPD.

They're running a reasonable service I am informed by my signalman colleague - things are pretty much as normal at Bury Bolton St - the only awkward bit is they are having to top and tail every train going north as there's nowhere for them to run the engine round at Irwell Vale (currently the northern most point they can go up to)

What about an option for all of the locos listed? because that is what I would vote for
