New Route:North East Uk
Hi all
Well its the second major route i've created. the last being the flawed GWR route.
My new route route will hopefully Be spred across North,East,South,West Yorkshire & Lincolnshire. That why i've named it North East UK. Te route spiders out on major and frieght routes in the area. Doncaster, Retford,Scunthope,Sheffiled,Leeds and Yorks and there are hopfully goingto be other routes area the area.
I've got a Tile problem but I carnt have everything!
as the Screenshots shows i've already completed the doncater sation track work.
The scenery will prove very hard to do ! dune to my tile problem, when I get more advanced with gmax I may add some custom stations. This will easily be the most mind boggleing route i've ever done!
The map below shows the basic route map:
<IMG width="1090" height="839" SRC="http://album.atomic-

Doncaster so far-
<IMG width="800" height="600" SRC="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... otNEUK.JPG">
If theres any Questions and ideas etc, please feel free to ask
Many Thanks

Hi Richard,
Good luck with your route, but I must take exception to the description of it being in the North East, the route is based on Doncaster which is 198 miles south of Berwick and 211 miles north of Brighton. That is right in the middle of England.
Describing anything North of Lincoln as the North East is a myth carried on by those who live in the South, i.e. anywhere below Darlington.

Richard,
The map omits a few lines, if you'd like something more accurate let me know and I'll be happy to assist. I have all the OS maps for the area (except Retford and Scunthorpe) in 1:25000 scale (and a pretty good map of the rail lines in that area in my head
)
And yes it's Swinton and I was there today as it happens.
I'd go for calling it Yorkshire, as we in York would be insulted at the thought of being called South Yorkshire!
Anyway, I look forward to it

Hey, Yorkie2k! It is South Yorkshire, i know, i live there, on the Sheff-Doncaster route to be exact...not exactly picturesque, but home, and i resent you Northereners calling us Yorkshire! Us Southerners have always been South Yorkshire...

I don't think Ealing is in the Middle East, not too many camels there when I last went through. Not sure about Peterborough. They are a bit strange over that way so may have a use for camels.montylowe2 wrote:Well mike, your quite write! Doncaster is the Middle East, But as My routes does go up towards York, the who knows?
