Route Building White Out

I am working on a new route and noticed that the dreaded "White Out" has appeared. This is the second time it has happened, the first time I restarted the route. The route is well advanced and although I have made regular backups and returned to my oldest version I am unable to escape.
Can any one advise as to the cause and is there a cure?
Many thanks in anticipation of help.

Recent bin patches have eliminated 'The Great White Void" if that is what you are seeing. Might be time to install it if you haven't done so.

You can build and use the route in MSTS like this...
In the RE simply change your Start tile as far east as you can, the problem only occurs if you are going west to east over a UTM line.
As regards the finished route, all users have to do when they hit the white void is ave the game, reload and carry on whence the terrain textures and objects will display correctly.
The "cause" such as it is, is Kuju not testing their product properly and rushing it out to meet the MS deadline, along with most of the other bugs which have plagued the title since Day 1. BIN may help, but not everyone is going to have it installed or want to use it.

Sorry BigVern, could you just clarify?
Are you saying that providing the first tile is the furthest East one then you won't get the white out regardless of which way the train is travelling?
Also, excuse my ignorance, but what's a UTM?
I'm just starting out on this route-building lark....

Thanks for the information on the great white void. Can you please clarify what a BIN file is and where can this be sourced. I am not familiar with the bin file
Thanks

Hi Kevin
Have a look in the Bin forum
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewforum.php?f=181. The bin patch has improved many aspects of MSTS, one of which is removing the great white void problem.

ISTR UTM stood for "Universal Transverse Mercator" which are essentially the black lines you see dividing up the world in the Route Geometry Extractor.
