Encouragingly, I recently got a friend who's a driver with FGW to try out the stretch from Oxford towards Tackley and he was happy that it looked pretty true-to-life.
Of course, Michael, in a way you have set yourself a much tougher task than I have, since your efforts can be directly compared to the real thing. At least I can explain away any discrepancies between my version of the Chiltern line and the real thing as due to the passage of time over the past 50 years or so :D

Possibly, along with the Kings Cross Area (Mideast, ECE, Mideast+)

Maybe, Martin, although given the rate of change in the scenery along the line I can get away with saying 'It was there when I did a site visit'!

Yes indeed, since this was an incredibly promising route.

Not one for usually bumping threads asking for news but this project was so promising. How's it going Michael?
Regards.

Sincere apologies for the lack of updates for some time now...

The 'usual suspects' have intervened - PC upgrades, family circumstances throughout the past year, work life, etc. The route is not forgotten! But admittedly neither has it progressed for some time. Completion very much remains my objectives, so do keep watching this space. And thanks for your continued interest.

Bumb bump, knock knock. :D

I see you've been re-skinning, Michael! :D

Is this a sign of progression back in progress? :D

(If that makes any sense 8) )
Kindest regards,
Simon.

Thanks for your continued interest. Reskinning is a diversion/distraction but it enables me to try out some prototypical stock on my route, so I've been playing around with it rather than developing it. Trouble is, there's a lot of new stuff (new routes and reskins) out at the moment and I haven't been able to resist the temptation to invest time in them as well :)

Nice work, Michael. Glad to see that reskinning hasn't taken over completely from route building!

I started with it  So long ago, in fact, that it desperately needs a makeover. I'm happy with the stabling sidings but the station itself needs more attention.

If you look through this thread and my posts on the screenshots forum you'll find dozens of pictures.
