Re: Oxford route
Strange, I didn't get the usual notification of new posts to this thread so it's only now that I've caught up with the latest state of play. Great work, Michael, it really is coming together nicely. I wish I could say the same of my route but I've run into problems - see the Chiltern thread.

Re: Oxford route
Been following this thread for a while now, silently over there in the corner watching and listening
Just noticed how quiet it's been, any updates Michael?
Hope it's all going well still.

Re: Oxford route
Don't worry, it's not been forgotten! Usual story - a lot has been going in real life over the past few months, so things have slowed down. No recent progress shots worth showing you, but I'll post something on developments as and when they happen

Re: Oxford route
All I can offer is words of encouragement as I know nothing about route creation, this route and the Chiltern route are looking fantastic so far, keep up the good work can't wait until there both finished!

Re: Oxford route
Hi Simon,
Slow progress (I've been distracted with the 111/116/119 DMUs), but progress nonetheless. Work has been going on around Banbury - signalling, adding some models to the station vicinity, and improving the quality of the original station building that I made (I want to improve the Oxford model too - probably my next big project).
Since you've asked:

Encouragingly, I recently got a friend who's a driver with FGW to try out the stretch from Oxford towards Tackley and he was happy that it looked pretty true-to-life. One day I'll get him to do the whole route.

Re: Oxford route
Excellent work, Michael. I'm not sure whether my version of Banbury will be anywhere close to the standard you have set!

Re: Oxford route
Given that Banbury is also in the SMJ route, is it going to be one of the most modelled places in the UK?
