As ever looking good. There are loads of animated people available on the German train site.

I used some of these, when I upgraded Vern's Blackpool Tramway.

All my models are true freeware, Michael. Do what you like with them!

I don't know about my track laying skills. I've had an awful time at Neasden South Junction with sections not lining up 100% accurately. I think I've relaid everthing OK now; I'll know when I finish running the 55 mini-activities I've written to check.

Thanks, Geoff. I think some of these may be the same as those on activitysimulatorworld but I'll root around there too.

Just to reassure people that the route is still very much in progress, despite the fact that I've added nothing to this thread for over a month. I've been distracted by playing around with some of the excellent freeware released over the past few weeks on UKTS - a poor excuse, I know :D

The blog has just been updated and has a small video of Anton's reskinned IC125 leaving Didcot for Swindon. Lately I've been filling in more of the detail around Didcot, so the background in the film looks a bit spartan compared with how things stand now. Just steeling myself to build both a Sainsbury's and a Tesco's...

In the meantime, here's a shot of Tangmere in action on a charter from Banbury.

Spent a couple of hours on Saturday morning cycling between Kidlington and Oxford to get some better photos of the detail of this section. Plus I've also spent a bit of time lately working on the Bicester line between Wolvercote and Islip. To give you a flavour:

57601 hauls an ex-VT HST past Water Eaton to storage at Bicester MoD (based on a real-life working I saw). NB the crossing itself isn't quite finished yet, as you can tell...:

What's new in the Oxford sidings isn't actually visible in this shot - generally more clutter, remnants of the old Oxford shed, etc. - but here an FGW 'Barbie' HST and Adelante pose alongside some Turbos in Thames Trains livery:

And finally 60070 hauls a rake of oil tanks from Fawley past Dukes Cut lock, just by Wolvercote Junction:

One important question I have, which perhaps someone may be able to help me with: just in the past couple of days, MSTS has complained that a texture file (a different object is concerned each time) is not in the Global/Textures folder, although the texture file is in the route's Textures folder. Why might this be? Is it a memory issue?

Can't help you with your queery Michael, but those are excellent screen shots of your Oxford Route, the last two shots being exceptionally detailed. Keep at it mate, you are making a fantastic job of it and this should become one of everyones favourites when its released.
Nice work so far. :D :D :D :D :D

It's not conclusive but installing the K&WVR (v1 at least, am still yet to get the newer version) puts some texture files in the global files - it could just be that MSTS has decided they should be there for no particular reason...

mpeffers: Thanks for letting me know about that. So far I've only had to add texture files to the Global folder for two objects. I'm still puzzled, but MSTS is puzzling...

Anton: I saw the new 57601 - thank you!
