New (Fictional) Route, Work Has Begun!

Post by martinhodgson »

I have started a totally fictional route, modelled on UK railways. It already has a central terminus, in the centre of the map, which will eventually branch out into the corners. The corners will then also be joined.

Do not expect miracles!!! This is my first attempt at a proper route. It will cater for most types of modern traction, i.e there will be main lines, tiny branch lines and freight lines. It will take a long time, as once the summer holidays are out of the way, I will be in my 5th year of secondary school... The dreaded GCSE's will prevent me from doing very much.

Wire heights vary - 5.7m is the right height for the default Japanese gantries (and my Woodhead ones) plus the pantos on the 86/87s and EM1/EM2's available on this site are set for that.

No screenshots or map sorry, but the terminus is laid out, and I have the North West single track Branch Line laid, and the North East Main line placed.

Hopefully, I will get some screenshots in a couple of weeks, when I return from my holidays.
