Oh Aldershot's on the Alton Main, mmmmmmm i take it you'll be linking it up with the junction for alton off the main Spinal route. That way we could enter alton from both link's.

i wont say no more it'll just mean more work for me activity wise.

Aldershot is a logical place to stop the route at this stage as it is where the lines from Guilford, Pirbright and Frimley all converge. An extension to Alton would be on the cards alond with Dorking as that would complete the Waterloo Suburban network, but that may be V5.

Dave
My hands are shaking, fantastic stuff Dave :D

I assume this means that the line from guildford to Aldershot to ash vale to ascot via camberley will be included? :D

my home town of course  make it good :P

Seriously brilliant stuff, and to get it down to Alton would be great for desiro thrashing :)

Just remember to stop building when you reach all corners of the UK

Ade
Ade,

LOL. Yes, the Guildford/Aldershot to Frimley to Ascot line is in V4.

Dave
:D *Jumps and hits the ceiling*

my mouth is now physically watering :P

I want to see if i can do the proper operations on this stretch of lines :D

Usually a train has to wait at frimley south pointwork for another north service to come off the single section between ash vale and frimley, cant wait for this, and the chance to have a thrash at aldershot maybe :D
Regards

Ade :)

The track database for Dorset V4 is still only half the size of that for TM V4, so plenty of scope to extend yet!!

UKFineScale probably - something ThamesMersey doesn't have. I find it hits framerates quite a bit but it is definately worth it.

OK. The thread went off on a valid tangent but one that is in my opinion best served by it's own thread. The posts regarding the distribution by CD vs DVD are now located here http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?t=59365

This is no reflection on anyone who posted - this thread is about the extension of Dorset Coast. This issues raised by DVD vs CD distribution are complex and will overwhelm this thread.

Anyone who has issues with me splitting the thread please contact another moderator or the site owner.

Kindest regards

Absolutely fantastic! :D

Are you considering extending down to Salisbury and Exeter St. Davids? :)

I just dont bloody believe it! Absoloutly amazing! If I may be so bold, the only line I think would be a good addition would be the Easleigh/St Deny's to Cosham or Portsmouth line. That way we could connect up to EB's WCW/LSC and do the old two parter activities such as the Reading - Brighton run. Not that I would get bored looking at those suburban lines! Bloody hell Dave, how do you do it?

Maybe in V5, although Exeter is a long way, much of it single track, so limited appeal for activity writers.

The Worting-Salisbury-Redbridge/Eastleigh triangle is a more realistic goal for V5, together with the Guildford-Portsmouth-St.Denys/Eastleigh triangle, but lets get V4 finished first!!
