Funny you should say that, Dave already has version 8 planned at the back of his mind.
... or will it be called Southern Region v2 by that time?

Seriously, this guy is going to give a couple of the commercial outfits a run for their money some time soon! Long may it continue! Hope you don't get RSI. If you do, we must set up a fund to keep you in physio!

Aldershot looks just where it should be.

Carry on Dave, you will soon have done all of the old southwestern division.

Matt,

Yes, Reading on V3 was never really going to be used by Waterloo AI, but obviously I need to look at the platforms for V4 as they will need to accomodate an 8 car train as do all the other platforms on the Waterloo-Reading/Windsor lines.

Aldershot is in the correct place on the Alton line, coming off the main at Pirbright Junction.

That looks very impressive - I really must buy it when it comes out!

However, I have one thought: why does it stop at Aldershot? Wouldn't building on to Alton or possibly even down the MHR to Arlesford be perfectly logical?...or is that on V5?

Nick
Nick,

Aldershot is a logical place to stop the route at this stage as it is where the lines from Guilford, Pirbright and Frimley all converge. An extension to Alton would be on the cards alond with Dorking as that would complete the Waterloo Suburban network, but that may be V5.

My hands are shaking, fantastic stuff Dave :D

I assume this means that the line from guildford to Aldershot to ash vale to ascot via camberley will be included? :D

my home town of course  make it good :P

Seriously brilliant stuff, and to get it down to Alton would be great for desiro thrashing :)

Just remember to stop building when you reach all corners of the UK
