LLJ, an Iron ore route

Thought that I post some pics of my route that I been working on since January. The route is based on St.Anton route, however, almost all tracks are reworked. This pic shows the line map:

The original route is added with 5 new lines, and a couple of smaller industrial lines. The route is very traffic oriented, the layout is planned for high traffic efficency.

These two pics shows the end station, Antberg. It has an additional industrial area up in the mountin, which contains Iron Ore, Oil reffinery and some misc industries.

Thanks a lot!
When... ? Yes, that is a question I ask myself too...
I hope during autum.. But as we all know, depends on avaible time.. And my ambition is rather high to have the track plan in a good way, and it takes time. Then I come in to the "cosmetic" passes, arranging all the objects and textures..
A quick jump to the south side of LLJ.. This is where LLJ connects to the state line, SJ in tyhe station called "Innarvet".

The SJ line is dimensioned for a highest speed of 260Km/h (track radies confirmed from real locomotive engineers..). Here the SJ track is a 4-track line, with the local commuter trains on the inner tracks. Right up is the "Innarvet North", a pretty large freight switching yard. The local trains is going on the other side of the hill on its own tracks. (On the original track, actually..)
Here is a working picture of where one of the ongoing projects. Innarvet main station:

The tracks to the right is the old tracks from Innsbruck station, which will be completely removed, when finish. On the main station, only the freight tracks is in place yet. Two of the three tracks to the left is dedicated to freight trains from and to LLJ. The third track allocated for passenger trains to LLJ.
With such heavy station as Innarvet is, I need to have some other easier parts to work with in parallel... That is due to that I feel that ideas needs to be settle down, so the function and layout is well working, and to think it over for a couple of days is rather good.

The follow on shots just prove what an excellent piece of work this is. I am really looking forward to trying it out.

Looks fantastic. And can I add that it's particularly good to see someone doing something about the woeful underrepresentation of Lapland in MSTS circles :-)

Thanks! Todays journey on LLJ will be in Innarvet again, but now in the freight switchyard area...

This is where the switchyard begins. Here comes and go the freight trains that should be switchew in the different directions on the SJ line, or if the train should go down to the harbor in "Innarvet". If train should go south on the SJ line, it must first go up to the main station, and swith direction to continue the trip south..

This view is the electrical locomotives service depot, with the Iron ore locos in special.. The tracks to the left connects to the LLJ line, and is for the trains traveling to the north on LLJ, and the right tracks is from LLJ for the freight train.
Above is the main tracks for LLJ, wich heading for the local passenger plattform at "Innarvet North". Also the long-distanse passenger train use the upper line.

A pic from inside the engine schreed. 4 ports have the schreed. The locos waiting for service are Dm3 Iron Ore locomotives.

Mumeå, the first station south of "Innarvet" that we meet.

This station is a pure local train passenger station, with the higher speed and freight train tracks on outside.

Looks like I need to start downloading some Swedish stock read for the launch! I hope you are not intending to take a holiday before you finish the work - I'd hate to have to wait any longer than absolutely necessary before I get to try it out

Oopps... Next week I will be on holiday...

But, it is only one week... promise...
This picture is from Antberg, when the final event in a design contest regarding the design program for LLJ. The directors for LLJ thought that it must be an own design program...
5 contributors to the contest, each with a set of repainted locos.. This contest was held during the winter, and it was diveded inte 4 different areas:
- Color composition
- Pattern
- Placement of the LLJ letters
- Overall impression.
The jury consists of 5 persons with different background, both from train related, but also from graphical proffession. The contest was ongoing for about 2-3 month. And, it was fun...

Well you can be forgiven if it is only one week! You'll just have to work a bit harder when you get back!
It might also pay you to open a new thread to continue as this will become very difficult for non broadband users to open, due to the (very good) screenshots.
BTW - I want a copy of it for christmas - so thats your deadline

Hehe... Yes, now it feels better...
Jupp, I know, the shots are to heavy to load... I normally reduces the size of the pics, so it will have 800 x 600, so it will make a better fit in the window as well... But, from some reason, I did totally forgett this golden rule...
Yeah, I would not be happy on myself if it is not ready until Christmas... I thiiiink I can make a promise to deliver before christmas..
cheers!

Always thought the St. Anton route had a lot of unused possibilities.
Its a good line to drive .... but the default activities soon become boring
