Lowering your river bed

James,

Don't try to do this in RE - use TSTF !

Use the Raise/lower button in the contour tool set to lower the bed by several metres (I suggest 20 as a minimum to avoid nasty water's edge rendering effects.

And thats ok for negative values? My land is already at 0...

Negative values are fine, but beware of having a contour at exactly 0, as this can cause problems with the terraforming. You might be better off with a pair of contour lines, close to each other at +1 and -1 metres.

Tim is right - TSTF regards a point of precisely 0 height as being "unplotted". You can, however, get around this by entering +-0.1 or even samller as a height to plot.

And yes - negatives are fine :)
