Route building basic stuff

Hi. Am beginning to dabble in building some stuff but have large numbers of undoubtely deeply divvy questions which I shouldn't burden this forum with, not least as they've doubtless been answered any number of times before.

So am wondering where I can get the best introductory tutorial or similar re route-building - have got the general MSTS book by Sybex but it doesn't cover very much - is anything else available?

Thanks for your patience...!

Michael Vone's "Step-by-Step Guide to Building Routes" published by abacus and a downloadable PDF file is very good.

I believe there is also a file in the download area avalable. I haven't downloaded this though, as I am happy with what I have :)

Mick,

If you go to the downlaods area I have a test route which is relatively small, you can hack around in there to your hearts content without breaking you own creation.

I have also put together some stuff in the downloads area as well as some tools you may find useful.

Rob Thorburn (goingnorth) has also put together a route turorial in the downloads area.

Hope this helps, if you do have any odd problems feel free to email me on MSTSECML@aol.com, can't guarantee i can answer everything and straight away but I do have a policy of answering all my emails ( in the middle of a big route build so may not be able to answer straight away)

The January 2002 edition of PC Format had a good tutorial complete with files. but in the DVD version only. Also, the accompanying article in the mag is not on the DVD, so you would need the mag as well. You may be able to get a back copy, but I think it may be expensive.

Good luck
