Re: Exeter - Castle Cary
The ex southern route from Central to Salisbury is great one to model the only problem is the long stretches of single track but he route is fantastic great scenary and Honiton bank is well nasty in both directions even the Class 50's worked hard on this line yes i would love to see itwessex442classhugh wrote:Just want to ask if people think this would be a good route, I hope to go Exeter-Yeovil Junction(including YRC) -Yeovil Pen mill - Castle Cary

I think Mr Growler's idea is an excellent suggestion, particularly since it would allow a wide choice of locos for activities - the quarry lines could make good use of the 58s available, so far very much underused in existing route activities. Also a great oppportunity to use the the excellent new BATS Class 50s for 70's era runs and looking to future developments, the Warships currently in the pipeline.salopiangrowler wrote:why not do it to Westbury. then you could have Exeter Riverside to Westbury stone trips then. plus you could put the merehead and whatley branches in.
I wish you every success.
