Pervious bridge structures

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Pervious bridge structures

Post by Buckeye »

Hi all
Does anyone have any knowledge of why smoke, steam and sparks fly through my bridges. I've studed the bounding box and thought this was the answer, alas not to be.
I've checked default routes and found them OK but downloaded routes not so (those that I have).
Ive uploaded several bridges to date and would like to continue, however problems are there to be solved and I'm sure this would have been delt with before but unable to find in past messages.

Thanks in advance

Buckeye.

1) make bridges 'Terrain Objects' in Route Editor
2) put a length of road over the bridge

You will still get a small amount of smoke seeping through though

For a given amount of "small"...

Putting a bounding box in the model above the maximum loading gauge and flagging it as a collision object in the RE will also help: but not completely.

The only sure way is to make sure all your roofs/bridges are higher than about 15m above the tracks.

Also, the search function is your friend: this has been discussed several times at great length.
