Looks nice, but a word of warning, if you have crossovers like this (under the 158):
b) when coming to making activities, the signals and AI trains will not recognise this as a crossover, so there will be nothing to stop two trains from going over it at the same time, and crashing.
I know it's hard to fit all the crossovers in correctly, but it can be done, look at Dorset Coast at Waterloo, that is done resonably well. Of course there are going to be certain limitations and I doubt that every crossover can be modelled perfectly, but it will pay off when coming to making activities.
Otherwise keep up the good work, nice to see another new route in these dwindling days of MSTS.

This is good newsbrereton2001uk wrote:Hi again.
I have been asked a few times about the are the route will cover. So here goes:
The first release will see Birmingham - Gloucester/Bristiol . Inculding New St -Kings Norton via Selly Oak and Camp Hill. The redditch Brach, abbotswood-Worcester SH-Stoke Works, Birmingham- Derby via Tamworth & Four Oaks (So the complete X-City!)
After that I am hoping to do Gloucester-Cardiff, Bristol PW-Cardiff, Bham-Kidderminster-Worcester, Bham-Stafford

Hi Guys. a quick update. After almost a week of trying to relay the track at new st to use the proper crossovers, and still not managing to fit it all i, i have decided to carry on with other parts of the route, and leave new st as it is as nothing else on the route has been done. I will still try to sort new st out, but fot the moment it stays as it is.
Should have a few more pics early next week.
And thanks to everyone for the continued support!

Hi Guys
Sorry its been a while but after computer went into meltdown then working lots i have found little time. However i have got round to reinstalling train sim and loading the backup so work on the route is now back on. Southbound trackwork has reached Bristol TM. Hopefully some pics in the next week or so.

Midland Railways [Modern Era]
I very much like what I see.
You have obviously taken a lot of trouble.
I eagerly look forward to its completion.
Any idea how long it might be?
I take it be calling it modern era that there will be no Snow Hill station, which I remember as a boy.
Is this correct
Keep on keeping on
Many Thanks
Samphire
