No, but from what I have seen of the summer Railtrack planned works, they are doing their best to dig it all up :)

I have been thinking about this route for ages, have the track plans and the maps, now the uk fine scale track is comming out, I think I am going to wait for that having played with the beta (its great)

Proberbly start at Stafford and head south, as this is a bit of the route I know quite well

any thoughts or idea's would be more than welcome.

i am thinking of trying to create the route from london to wolverhampton or go as far as liverpool, manchester or glasgow. My plan is to start the route from london euston then do the stations in sequence watford junction, milton keynes central, (Northampton), (long Buckby), Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham International, Birmingham New Street, Sandwell and Dudley and Wolverhampton.
With the route curving out of Rugby to include Nuneaton, Tamworth, Stafford, Crewe e.t.c. My only problem is i have never created a route before and i need some advice on how to start this monsterous creation.
If you can help me reply to:

If you are the wrong side of 30, in full time employment with family commitments, then competion will roughly coincide with your first State Pension collection!

I have replied to the thread you created in MSTS Route Building. I made on post, then forgot to reply to your second question, the reply happens to be quite long...

Look out for an e-mail from me, and perhaps a PM...

Euston to Crewe

Post by ccsdc »

The extension of the WCML South from Crewe to Euston is in the schedule for version 4 of Merseyside Railways.

I have already done some advance work on this version, including obtaining track schematics, gradient profiles and creating a detailed marker file for the whole route.

At this stage, and I will probably do a poll, my timetable is to release version 3, which will add all the railway in the Wirral bounded by the area Warrington, Northwich, Chester and Hawarden Bridge in Early 2004.

Version 4a (the reason for the poll) could be all railway work, including signals, stations, interactive track objects and structural scenery (retaining walls, bridges etc.) released Mid 2004.

Version 4b would be version 4a complete with scenery released end 2004.

Version 4c would be a 1950's version of the whole of Merseyside Railways, ie no colour light signals or OHLE, Liverpool Overhead Railway, and Liverpool Central, Exchange and Birkenhead Woodside Stations released mid 2005.

A lot of work though, so please be patient.
