Progress Update of my route

Post by 96smitro »

Here is an in progress pic of a route that I am making - note this is my first time I have attempted to make a route, so be nice!

Question is, can anyone guess where this is????

So far about 2 1/2 miles of track is laid, and the route has been DEMed (though you wouldn't know from the pic...)

I dont actually have a clue where it is!

I suggest reading the stickey at the top of this forum, also take a vist to http://www.virtuallandscaping.com, for some very nice groud textures.

Best of luck with your route!

Thanks Calvert! (by the way that link doesn't seem to work)

Managed to add another 2/3 mile to the route tonight (plus relaying some previous track), as well as having a swot up on Junctions (I have a crossover junction at either end of the laid track that I want to get right!) before carrying on - depending how far I get I'll release another screenshot of the WIP to see if people can recognise it!

I've read alot of the threads here concerning certain issues etc - this site has been an invaluble resource in getting me off the ground.

P.S. Already saved this route 4 times (varying stages) in case anything does go wrong (nothing has done yet thougth - everything has gone smoothly so far!)

Bookmarked the textures website! :D

I am not going to be using those track textures - I already know the texture that I am going to be using (but if I put it straight in now it would give the game away! )

I think I had better give an up date of the route Im building...

recently it has stagnated as I have been ill (flu) and university work has been getting me down - but I have made some progress on the route as these shots show!
