I wasn't planning on doing this route, but now i've been asked extra nicely by Eddie, i think i'll have a crack at it, i've never done a route before, so don't expect instant results, okay? What i want to know is this; Where should i start and end the route? I was planning on doing the route as it was circa 1956, so if you particularly want to see a station represented, get back to me and i'll see if i can fit it in.

Okay...but someone else'll have to do the Tal-y-lyn and Fairborne lines, okay? Any more suggestions?

Ive though about doing this one as I have a good knowledge of the line especially around Barmouth, Tywyn, Aberdovey and Dovey Jnc.
Im to tied up with other things though. I thought the great scenery and cliffs around the sea would be a challenge. Go for it I say!

Go up to Caernarfon , Bala , Blaneu Ffestiniog , Llandudno , Holyhead , Llangollen , Bangor , Ruabon , Carmarthen. The list is endless! ( I'd like to see you do a line that reaches all these!)

Im doing Llandudno to Llandudno Jnc. Would post some screenshots but Ive only got Llandudno Station trackwork done at the moment. It is hard fitting the route in - Time just flies by in the RE.

Basically it comes down to this, i can't be arsed to do all the buildings myself, heck, i'm going to have enough trouble building the route as it is, without having to do the buildings as well! Here's a deal for you all, if someone'll do the buildings, i'll do the route, if i can't find someone to do the buildings, the route'll have to be put on hold until i can do them myself, or maybe dropped altogether. I know how bad that sounds, but i don have exams at the mo', so free time comes by once in a blue moon...

You wouldn't need that many buildings for the Cambrian. There were only a few styles, so once you've built 4 or 5, you could probably re-use them elsewhere.

I'm currently sitting less than a mile from the Cambrian Coast and would offer to take some photos, but I've just used up a film taking slate quarry photos for someone else's new route. Sadly, I'm heading south tomorrow and won't be up here again for a while. There are plenty of good books available, so I'd suggest you start with a bit of research.

As someone who knows the line well (used to commute on part of it when I was your age), I'd suggest starting at Harlech and working both ways, initially to Porthmadog and Barmouth and then extending to Pwllheli and Machynlleth. That will keep you going for a little while.

Thankyou, after quite a bit of deliberation with a certain American, i've decided to do the route, i can't release futher details as yet, but i CAN say it will be circa 1956. I'm quite happy to hear you're views on this project, so please keep sending them in, or, if you have any info, e-mail it to me, i'll make sure i mention you when the route is released (you'll probably all be dead by then, and i'll probably be around 90, so don't get you're hopes up)

Well I'll do a Manor with the Cambrian Coast Headboard on and if Ian does the Auto Buffet car we can have the train

I was hoping you'd say that...

Perhaps you should make a decent stretch of it and put it on CD.

No, that's not my style, if i make this route, i want everyone to be able to enjoy it, not just those who can pay for it. If i'm to do this route, i'll make no financial gain from it, it's just not me.
