Searchlight Signals

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Searchlight Signals

Post by AlanP46 »

Anyone know much about these? I'm currently modelling a GWR area layout (not for MSTS...but there isn't an appropriate forum section!) and I would like to know more about Searchlight colour aspect signals.

I have read that the GWR did have some installed during the 1930s - I'd like to know what areas (i.e. was it just London?) and their usage.

Thanks

Alan

Cardiff General and Bristol Temple Meads were also equipped with these signals. I don't know about any other areas.

Thanks for the quick reply Tony!

Do you know about what time period? I'm modelling 1958-1960 should I should be covered for that :) (can probably introduce some standard 3-aspects in as well in places!).

If you're interested in a MAP of the layout I'm developing its available here:

Thanks,

They were definitely in use during that period.
