Chinnor for MSTS
A new project - the Chinnor & Princess Risborough Railway. I've started it in Trainz, and now its for MSTS - coming soon! With permission modiefied Watlington Branch buildings will be used to recreate the route as it was in the 1950's, and as it is now.
The final product will be sold in aid of the railway, and if I can get permission with appropriate stock.
Deadline for the finished product is around October or later, as I have GCSE practices and mocks now and again from September onwards.
Screenshots will be posted here once I get some - I'm having a tour of the yard on Saturday to get things started!

I have somewhere a started version of the route made using UKFS trackwork and with very basic scenery. Both mine and the communities skills have come a long way since then, with DEM, Moasic and verious other tools. Therefore I fear that what I did might not be much help but your welcome to a copy if your interesting... and is if I can find it!
Good luck
Bruce

Thanks guys, and Bruce you have a PM.
I've enlisted the help of a top reskinner to help me with the engines etc, and I plan to start work on the route over the weekend (in between revising
and other things).
Also, 90 or 100% of the profits will go to the Chinnor line (once its up), wlthough the price of the route will be very, very low.
The tour will help me loads, and I also hope to get some more accurate details of the line from the guy who'll be showing me around - and great thanks to him.
May I suggest that you visit http://www.cprra.co.uk/ if you are interested in the line. I hope a website will be set up soon with more informaion of the MSTS project, though.

Hi Jon,
Can I suggest you get in contct with the line about this? Show them your aims and plans etc, and if they're interested ( which no doubt they will be ) they'll probably grant you access to restricted areas for photos etc
. Plus then you can chat about selling at the line
Check UKTS for a couple of chinnor buildings too!

Been here long enough to know better...
Clayton at one end, 08 at the other, two Mk 2s sandwiching a Mk 1 buffet - all in blue/grey livery... then the last time I went there, they had added a second Mk 1, recently repainted them in chocolate & cream and stuck a pannier on the front...
...that was over 6 years ago!!
I was reminded the other day of how my brother followed the bloke around hiding the easter eggs and was picking them up... he got told off for it after a while...

Great news today
An amazing tour of the yard - including cabbing every loco in sight and taking lots ofpictures meant that I've now got a good idea of everything in sight. The cement works being demolished is sad news (I got a tour around some of that as well) but it does make work easier for me as housing estates are bland!
Finally, I've recieved permission to include Paul Gausdens amazing '1366' in the route. I'm now hoping to obtain permission for the Clayton, and, more impotantly the station buildings!
Lastly John the coaches in use now are 4 chocolate/cream mk. 1's. One of the rarest coaches surviving - a GWR 'tri-comp', as well as an LMS inspection saloon, various Mk.1's and Mk.2's, are stored awaiting (permission to) refurbish.
Oh, I almost forgot that http://www.freewebs.com/bucksts is now home for all of my MSTS stuff, but don't fear - I won't abandon this thread!

David - check your PM's!
Last night I carried on with the station - flowerbeds and lamps now up, as well as a redesigned station platform to accomodate the curve. I'm slowly collecting permission for more stock, although I'm awaiting the permission for the model of the 31 (got the texture permission).
I'm hopeing to start work in the yard today - when more screenshots will be published at http://www.freewebs.com/bucksts .

County council have been saying they'll demolish the cement works for over 3 years now so don't hold your breath...
All the original buildings and more for the original project were by John Wallwork. Unfortunatly John suffered illness early on in the project and it was part of the reason for it being cancelled. I'm sure he won't mind you using his buildings though.
As I said in PM give me just over a week and I'll be more proactive towards all of this - being "local" I have a lot of info and bits.

Thanks Bruce
I've just had a problem with MSTS which I'm trying to fix - otherwise I may have to reboot the whole thing - and I don't know if I'll have to start again or not!
I have, though, finished the station totally (except the grounded coach and toilets), and the track is now nearly all down for the yard.

New screenshots on my site - http://www.freewebs.com/bucksts - showing the progress to 1200 today (more has been made since). I've finished the station basically now, and have nearly finished the track in the yard - then I have to work out gradients!
