The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

London - Paris route

Post by Cookie2 »

Im working on a complete route from Paris to London where I will include the EuroStar tunnel and ofcourse the EuroStar trains. First part of the route will be from Paris to Lille, then from Lille to Calais Frethun where the tunnel starts. Second part will be the tunnel itself from Calais to London. The third part will be the line from Paris towards Brussels etc.
There might be a fourth part and so on, but that's really far away now.

But the thing is, I was wondering if somebody could get me some photos or maps of somewhere from the line, and especially from the Paris gare du nord station area. I want to make it as realistic as possible you know...

So just tell me here if you have any pictures, and I'll give you an e-mail adress you can mail them too. Or you can just post them right here :)

Cheers in Advance :)

Hi Mate

You might want to find about Lucazone's HSL route, which is nearing completion. There is some news and a link on the UKTS frontpage.

There is a cabride video made by Video125 which covers the route from Paris to Waterloo via the Tunnel & CTRL1

Thank you for your replies.

I'm thinking of buying that cabride video when I get the money that I hope to get soon.

But I think I need some more information than the video has, so I'll still appreaciate any pictures taken somewhere of the line, and if anybody could give me a drawing or picture of the layouts of some of the big stations on the line, I'd be really happy. :D

Are you planning to build from St. Pancras or Waterloo?

As well as LucaZone's vCTRL, you might want to check out the LGV 3 Capitales project here:

Best of luck with your project.

If you think that you don't want to build Paris London any more, but want to build a TGV route, how about having a go at a Northern High Speed Line? As it's in the early planning stages (I think), you could use your imagination as to the positioning/appearance of stations etc... :)

...and you couldn't get it wrong! :D

Well, I was planing to build Waterloo.

I see that many people have built the route as you said, but all of them are payware routes I think, so I was thinking of building a freeware version of the route.

I'm really just building routes for fun, not to make any money... :D

But I'll do some research on the Northern Highspeed Line to see if I find it more interesting than the LGV-NE route. :D

If its the one which was planned to run parallel to the ECML, I might be able to help.

I wrote a timetable for it to see if Virgin could fulfill their aim
