What fo you mean 'by accident'!!!

Whats what's wrong with GWR?

GWR was the first true pasanger route, what with all the attention to detail that Brunell (greatest Britain) put into it!

And the GWR engines where of a High Quality!

RobertM :D

P.S
What route is it your making???

No, that would be the Mancester & Liverpool Railway built by the Stephensons.

But the Liverpool too Manchester wasn't built to a high standard, and all that Stephenson was interested in was making as much money as he could.

Where as Brunell paid huge amounts of detail too its construction and it was far more technically superior

On what do you base that assertion? Did you ask him?

Are you suggesting George Stephenson didn't pay huge amounts of detail to the construction of the L&M? Have you read any books about the technical difficulties the L&M construction faced?

I quite agree with you that Brunel was a finer civil engineer, and that the GWR Paddington-Bristol line he built was a more advanced railway than the L&M, I am just disagreeing with you that the GWR was the first true passenger route. It was a better railway, with technically advanced engineering but it was also a later creation and you won't find anyone who disagrees with that.
