How do You Start making a route?

Are there any good guides to making a route on the internet? or anyone who could tell me how?

Yes, i havent had it myself, but apparantly as i have heard from lots of route builders alike, micheal Vones route building guide is brilliant!
So have a look around for that and get hold of it
You will find it around on the abacus website

As said it is worth its weight in gold

lol - exactly how heavy is a PDF file ?
but joking aside, that book does tell you just about all you need to know. Along with this forum of course - there's a sticky thread of hints and tips in the route builders forum!

A good way to start a route is with DEM (terrain) see top of forum for tutorial.

Another tip is to do as much research as you can, both into route building in RE (a massive undertaking in most but the shortest projects) and the actual railway you want to base your simulation on.
Once you have an idea of how to work RE and make custom scenery, and have an idea of what you want to build, you will be able to make a decision about whether you actually want to start the project.
