The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Single Track Tram Gantry

Post by stuartpalmer »

Does anyone know of a suitable gantry for a single track tram line (with a wire height of 6.1m)?

I'm trying to build a short tram route, but the only single track gantries I can find are the modern city ones (which have a wire height of 5.4m) or the Blackpool ones with the street lights on (which won't look good on the country sections). The unlit Blackpool centrespan poles are twin track only.

Is there any way I could edit the .s file (using notepad - I don't have a shape editing program) either to extend the upright on the Modern City ones or maybe lop off the second arm on the Blackpool centrespan gantries? Any other ideas?

To edit any shape, you need a shape editing program.

Your best bet is to search http://www.train-sim.com or other european websites for some other gantries.
